Meet the Elders

The Elder team at New Mercies is the heart of ministry.  Along with the pastor, they try and steer the church in serving God and loving men.  They are all so perfectly unique in attitude and thought that we can see the Lord even in their being whom they are.  On top of this, they model a love for people and none would turn you down or away.  We are truly blessed by their service.

George Dunn – George was pastor here at New Mercies, before becoming chaplain at the Trumbull Correctional Institute.  After which, he has entered retirement and can be found helping anyone he can find.  He adds experience and is always willing to be involved.  George and his wife, Mary, live on the outskirts of Burton.

Bill Widlicka – The best way to describe Bill is “heart”.  He has been involved in many churches and has a vivid faith walk.  Along with his wife, Connie, he has counseled some, helped with church plants, and loved much.  He has followed the Lord’s leading to New Mercies where he and his wife add an element of “spirit” to the church.

Kent Morgan – Kent leads the worship team at the church.  Sue, his wife, is also heavily involved in singing and instrumentation with the team.  He had previously been transitional pastor at New Mercies.  And he is the chaplain of the Lake County Jail Ministry.  Kent is blessed with godly wisdom, and often times he knows exactly what you need to hear.
